OUR LIFELINES

Bowling ball and pins

Too often church is boring. We believe that church should be a fun and exciting worship experience that you can’t wait to get to; an experience that you’ll want to share with others!

We love you where you are and where you’re going.
We believe in sharing the love of Christ with everyone we meet; through the words we speak and the way we live.

To reach people nobody is reaching you have to do what no one else is doing. We believe in doing whatever it takes to meet people where they are and introduce them to Jesus.

Hands giving a gift in a white bow

We don’t give just because the bible tells us to – we give because it’s in our hearts. We believe in the giving of our tithes and offering as it is used to bless the ministry and our community.

Faith is not just believing God to provide but believing Him to provide more than enough. We believe that God meets us at the level of our expectation, so at The Life Center we do all we can to believe God for more… spiritually, financially, and in our health.

Each of us were created on purpose and for a purpose. We believe that we are here to equip and empower people to change their world by helping them discover their God-given gifts, abilities, and talents.

We pray like it depends on God and work like it depends on us. We believe in serving our community through prayer, community service, sponsorship and civic engagement.

Our desire is to live a life that pleases God and leaves a legacy that inspires others. We live to hear Him say, “Well Done.”

OUR BELIEFS

Man holding a bible

The Bible. The infallible inspired Word of God. It is the authoritative instruction for the believer’s life and walk in their relationship with Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

The Trinity. Father, Son and Holy Spirit is infinite which does not always make sense to our finite understanding. He is not limited by time or space. He is creator, eternal, all knowing, ever present, and all powerful. His character is multi-dimensional but no facet of His character diminishes another.

God. There is one true and living God. In the Bible, God is called by many different names because there are different dimensions of His personality, but there is still only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). God is not limited by time or space and eternally self-existent (John 8:54-59). God is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. He is the creator of the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1 and 2). While God is one, He has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus Christ is the second person of the trinity, the eternal Son of God. The Scripture declares His virgin birth (Matthew 1:18-23), His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22; John 3:4-5), His miracles (Acts 2:22, 10:37-38), H is substitutionary death on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 Corinthians 15:4), His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:1-6; 1 Corinthians 15:4), and His exaltation to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9, 11; Philippians 2:9-11). Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation. The only means of salvation is Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12; John 14:6). He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins (1 Peter 2:24).

Baptism and Communion. Baptism and communion are ordinances that still have a place in the life of the Church and every believer. The bible teaches that all who repent and believe in Christ are to be baptized by being immersed in water (Matthew 28:19). It is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, showing we have died to sin and have been raised with Christ to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). Communion is symbolic of the body and blood of Christ. Memorial of Christ’s sufferings on the cross and a celebration of our salvation. It is an opportunity for a believer to examine oneself and repent in order to experience the forgiveness and healing granted to us in the cross.

Hands reaching to God

Salvation. We believe involves the redemption of the entire person – body, soul, and spirit. It is offered freely to all. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. One cannot work for salvation but it is given to all who exemplify an act of faith. We believe that regeneration or the new birth is a work of God’s divine grace through faith whereby we become new creatures in Christ. It is a change of heart brought about by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin and accompanied by repentance and faith in Christ, which yields a new nature in us. (John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Titus 3:4-7).

Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is an integral part of the Christian life. The Holy Spirit is given to every follower of Christ to guide, comfort, convict, and adopt us into the family of God. The nine fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) are by-products of a Spirit-filled life and evidence of spiritual maturity. The nine gifts of the Spirit are different manifestations of the Spirit to build up the body (1 Corinthians 12:1- 11). We are instructed to diligently seek the gifts (1 Corinthians 14:26-33) in the context of love (1 Corinthians 13:1- 13).
